Big Sean wasn't saddened by his grandmother's passing. Instead, he was proud of her, according to an article published in XXL's Spring 2015 Issue.

"She was one of the first female Black captains in World War II," he says. "She was one of the first female cops in Detroit. She was a teacher, a counselor. She was the best grandma. She was the best mom to my mom."

Big Sean's grandma showed him that one man can change the world, and for that, he thought she deserved a tribute via "One Man Can Change The World," a song he recorded with Kanye West and John Legend.
